Nuclear Medicine Technology - Admission Criteria

 

A candidate for admission must have a high degree of self motivation and the ability to accept the responsibilities of a skilled member of the Nuclear Medicine the Diagnostic Imaging team.

The candidate has two options for meeting the admission requirements: Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree with Allied Health Education.

Radiologic Technology Option

-Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible.
-Registry eligible candidates are required to pass the ARRT examination no later than 90 days after beginning the Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
-A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the radiography program is preferred.
-All applicants must be graduates of an accredited radiologic technology program.

Other Allied Health Education

-Associate Degree from an accredited college
-Successful completion of an Allied Health Program.
-A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in previous educational programs is preferred.

All applicants need to successfully complete the following post secondary education courses with a grade C or better; Human Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, Mathematics, Medical Terminology, Statistics, Computer Applications, Oral and Written Communications and General Chemistry.
